Ollie is growing up.
Now eleven years old and starting middle school, Ollie’s world is expanding, new classrooms, new friends, and new adventures that take him across Canada and around the globe. But even as his experiences become bigger, Ollie is learning something quieter and more powerful: how to recognise what truly matters in the world around him.
From mountain peaks to hidden habitats, from global gardens to distant shores, Ollie begins to understand how people from around the world and nature are connected in ways that are both simple and profound. He sees how different cultures care for the planet, how communities work together in difficult times, and how even the smallest creature has a role to play in sustaining the planet.
Along the way, familiar friends return, Wisdom the Wolf, Happiness the Owl, and Tala the wise Turtle, reminding him that growing older does not mean leaving wonder behind.
These twelve stories bring Ollie back home once more, wiser but still wonderfully curious.

Ollie’s Mindful Mountain
A new school, a new uniform, and a new adventure await Ollie as he begins middle school with a hiking trip to Whispering Peak.
On the mountain trail, he meets Observant the Owl, Patience the Puma, Resilient the Ram, Considerate the Crow, and Gentle Giant the Bear. Each encounter helps Ollie recognise that strength does not always shout, and that calm thinking can carry you further than rushing ahead.
The mountain stands tall and steady — and it teaches Ollie how to do the same.

A Saturday trip to town leads Ollie to discover that habitats are everywhere — even in the smallest, most overlooked places.
After building a bug hotel in his garden, Ollie meets Sheltered the Snail, Earthy the Earthworm, Creeping the Caterpillar, Armoured the Armadillidium, and Slippery the Salamander. Each tiny creature shows him how homes are built carefully and how every living thing depends on the space around it.
Some habitats are wild. Some are homemade. But all of them matter.
